Goals

A goal is a large-scale statement about an institution’s desire to see students achieve/acquire/understand/do certain things before graduating—the kinds of things we spell out in faculty-wide brainstorming—the kinds of things listed in the UMF mission statement.

An example for writing might be the goal to see all UMF students confidently able to develop, draft, revise and polish a standard academic essay in their field.
